- catalog abstract ""The raspberry is grown not only in small plantation for the home and local market, but in some sections as the principal commercial crop. In these localities of the raising of raspberries has become highly specialized, a nd methods of growing which are peculiar to this industry are employed. This bulletin furnishes information as to the best methods of raising raspberries, and particularly considers practices which differ from those used with other bush fruits. Varieties are listed, characterization of the leading sorts and their adaptations are made, and the autumn-fruiting sorts are discussed. The varieties liked best for canning and preserving are listed and directions for their utilization are given. The directions given are based on practices which have proved highly successful in different sections. They may require modification in some particulars to meet local conditions, but they will be of value to those whose experience in raspberry culture is limited."--Page ii.".
