- catalog abstract "Grant by Thomas Stansted of Tey Magna (Essex), yeoman, to Thomas Audeley the Elder, esq., son and heir of Thomas Audeley of Berechurch, and Katerina his wife, their heirs and assigns, lords of the manor of Tey Magna, of an annual rent of £3 7s. 6d. issuing out of the grantor's manor of Uphall with its appurtenances, containing 100 acres in Tey Magna and bounded by a certain lane leading from a certain tenement called "Estgores" to the Queen's highway which runs between Coggeshal and Colchestre, and by a tenement customarily called "Lambardes," and by the land of the rectory of Tey, all on one side; by certain lands called "Upper Homere" and "Netherhomere" on the other side; and abutting on a certain field called "Asplyn" and land called "Pettefeld" and a close called "Abbotes" and a field called "Periefeld" on one side; and on the other, a certain pasture called "Rowndemedowe" and another called "Lambardes medowe" and a field called "Usseley" and a parcel of pasture called "Pricke" and a pasture now or late of Richard Meriell vulgarly named "Master Robardes medow" and a field called "Nethershotte" and one called "Brengewood medowe." And also of a field called "Asshefeld" with a lake in its north part, containing 20 acres, bounded by the Queen's highway leading from the church of Tey Magna to the church of Tey Parva; and by a certain land called "Halle Land" and a field called "Dyken"; and abutting on a tenement called "Germaynes" and on a certain lane called "Halle Lane." And also 1 1/2 acres of pasture lying separately in 2 parts in a certain pasture called "Kynbroke medow," late in the tenure of the grantor; and the other part called "Haulf acre" close to a bridge called "Smalle Bridge." And a parcel called "Salmanes acreling" lying in Tey Magna as appears in an indenture dated 1 June, 2 and 3 Philip and Mary [1556] between the aforesaid Thomas Audeley and Katerina his wife of the one part, and the said Thomas Stansted of the other part.".
