- catalog abstract "Grant by Robert de Spereburne to Sir Richard Bataille of all his sedge which he held of Geoffrey de Cokama, lying between the stream called Spereburne in length, and the land of Cokama called Ladune in breadth, and extending in length from the great road leading from Cokama to Wiveh' to the mound of that sedge nearest to the grantor's house, saving to the grantor a right of way 8 ft. wide for going and coming from his house, riding, carting, and driving his beasts to the said road, to hold of the grantor at a yearly rent of 8d., saving the king's service, to wit, a scutage of 20s. and one half penny and in proportion, with power to distrain. For which grant, Robert has given 40s.".
