The event sought to provide a forum for information exchange and debate on the complete range of possible urban operations likely to challenge U.S. national interests in the next generation. Such activities could include: operations at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels of war; domestic and international events; combat, stability, and support missions; service, joint, multinational, and interagency operations, in addition to those involving both active and reserve component forces from the U.S. military; and issues concerning homeland defense and weapons of mass destruction.".
