- catalog description "Gannett House was designed by Samuel W. Pomeroy and built in 1838. The house was named for Caleb Gannett, the last tutor to serve on the Corporation before he resigned in 1780. Gannett House was sold to Harvard in 1897 for $15,000. In the past, the house served as a dormitory and as offices for the Secretary of the Law School and the Board of Student Advisors. In 1925 the house was moved from the area where Austin Hall now stands. During remodeling that took place that same year, the building was turned completely around to face the Law School campus. As of 2000, it is the location of the Harvard Law Review, the Legal Aid Society, and the offices of the Law School Forum.".
