Lionel Hall is a memorial to Lionel deJersey Harvard (A.B. 1915), the only relative of John Harvard to attend the college. He was killed in the First World War in 1918, while a lieutenant in the British Army. The $100,000 needed to build Lionel was a gift from President and Mrs. Lowell. Lionel Hall was dedicated in 1927.".
