In study 2, we directly manipulated self-perceptions of environmental identity and explored the relationship between such self-assessments and environmentally relevant behaviors. Our results suggest that self-perceptions of environmentalism can beinfluenced by contextual factors, and that these self-perceptions are related to environmental behaviors.".
