Sargent's estate, with the remainder being images of lilacs and other flowering trees as well as the area around the Forest Hills Gate. In addition there are several newspaper clippings, a small amount of biographical material and the index of the BPL's collection of Abdalian's work.".

He immegrated to he United States in April 1897 and later became a naturalized citizen (sometime prior to 1971). Abdalian worked as a conductor on the Boston Elevated train, retiring in 1951. He died in January 1967. In his spare time, starting in 1913 through the 1960's, Abdalian pursued his interest in".

He specialized in images of of historical sites from eastern Macachusetts, street scenes of Boston, and scenes of nature from along the Emerald Necklace, including many photographs from the Arnold Arboretum. Abdalian worked exclusively with a large format glass plate negative camera which produced black and white images in 6"x6", 8"x10" and 11"x14". He had an in-home photolab and did his own printing. Some of his work was done on commission.".
