- aggregation abstract "In this paper we analyse the activation status of the referent in Italian Clitic Right Dislocations (CLRD). We analysed a corpus of 90 task-oriented dialogues that have been elicited with the map task and spot-the-difference techniques. The analysis show that the referent is textually given and active in declarative utterances with CLRD, whereas in interrogative utterances it can also be textually new and accessible. We claim therefore that the CLRD construction can be used by the speaker as means to reinforce the topic continuity as well as means to present a listener-new referent as higly accessible to the speaker.".
